School Orbit acts solely as a technology and payment facilitator between parents and their respective schools. This policy outlines the terms governing refunds and cancellations for fee payments made through the School Orbit platform.

1. Role of School Orbit

School Orbit is a technology platform that facilitates online fee collection on behalf of schools. It is important to understand that:

  • School Orbit is not responsible for the educational services, admissions, or any other services provided by the school.
  • School Orbit only provides the payment infrastructure to enable secure and convenient fee payments.
  • The relationship for educational services exists solely between the parent/guardian and the respective school.
  • School Orbit does not determine fee structures, fee amounts, or fee-related policies of any school.

2. Refund Responsibility

Since School Orbit acts only as a payment facilitator, all refund-related decisions rest with the respective school. Please note:

  • Refunds for school fees are handled and approved by the respective school, not by School Orbit.
  • Parents or guardians must contact the school administration directly to request a refund and obtain approval.
  • School Orbit will process the refund only after receiving written confirmation or approval from the school.
  • The refund amount, eligibility, and conditions are determined solely by the school's internal policies.

3. Payment Processing

All fee payments made through the School Orbit platform are processed securely via Razorpay, a trusted and RBI-compliant payment gateway. Key points:

  • Payments are processed in real time through Razorpay and settled directly to the school's designated account.
  • School Orbit does not hold or retain any parent funds beyond the standard payment processing cycle.
  • All transactions are protected by industry-standard encryption and security protocols.

4. Refund Timeline

Once a refund has been approved by the school administration:

  • The refund will be initiated through Razorpay and may take 5 to 10 working days to reflect in the parent's original payment method (bank account, credit/debit card, UPI, etc.).
  • The actual processing time may vary depending on the parent's bank or payment provider.
  • School Orbit will make reasonable efforts to expedite the refund process once school approval is received.

5. Cancellation Policy

Please be aware of the following regarding cancellations:

  • Fee payments, once initiated and successfully processed, cannot be cancelled directly through the School Orbit app or platform.
  • Any cancellation of a fee payment is subject to the cancellation policy of the respective school.
  • Parents must approach the school administration to request a cancellation or reversal of any payment.

6. Failed or Duplicate Transactions

In the event of a failed or duplicate transaction:

  • If a payment fails but the amount is debited from your account, the amount will typically be automatically reversed by your bank or payment provider within 5–7 working days.
  • In case of a duplicate payment, please contact the school administration and School Orbit support for resolution.
  • School Orbit will coordinate with Razorpay and the respective school to ensure timely resolution of any payment discrepancies.

  • School Orbit is a technology platform and is not liable for any disputes, disagreements, or claims arising between the parent/guardian and the school regarding fees, refunds, or educational services.
  • School Orbit does not guarantee the approval of any refund request, as this decision lies entirely with the school.
  • This policy is governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Chandigarh, India.

This policy is effective as of March 26, 2026 and applies to all fee payments made by parents/guardians through the School Orbit platform.
