Step 9 — Create timetable, assign homework and track syllabus completion for every class.

The Academics section helps you manage daily school operations — timetable (period schedule), homework given by teachers, and syllabus (which chapters are completed).

Timetable Management

Create period-wise timetable for each class and section. Teachers and students can view it on the app.

Go to Timetable section in the sidebar.

Click 'Create New Timetable'. Select the class and section.

Add periods — select day (Monday to Saturday), time slot, subject and teacher.

Save the timetable. It will be visible to students and teachers on the app.

Download the timetable as PDF for printing or sharing on WhatsApp.

Homework

Teachers can create homework from dashboard or mobile app. Students and parents receive it instantly.

Create from Dashboard

Go to Homework → Create. Select class, section, subject. Write the homework details with due date.

Create from App

Teachers can also create homework directly from the School Orbit mobile app — faster and easier.

Student View

Students see their homework list in the app with due dates. They know which homework is pending.

Parent Notification

Parents get notified when new homework is assigned. They can track their child's pending work.

Syllabus Tracking

Track how much of each subject's syllabus has been completed. Very useful for school management.

Go to Syllabus section. Click 'Create Syllabus'.

Select class, section and subject. Add chapter names one by one.

As teachers complete chapters, they can mark each chapter as 'Completed'.

Management can see progress — for example, '65% of Maths syllabus completed'.

Parents and students can also see syllabus progress on the app.
