Exam Types
Set up different types of exams your school conducts — Unit Tests, Half Yearly, Annual Exams, Weekly Tests etc.
Exam Types define the categories of exams. For example: Unit Test 1, Unit Test 2, Half Yearly, Annual Exam. You can create as many types as your school needs.
Common Exam Types for Indian Schools

Steps to Create Exam Type

Go to Examination → Exam Types.

Click 'Add Exam Type'.

Enter the Exam Name (e.g., 'Unit Test 1').

Enter the Description (optional — e.g., 'First unit test of the session').

Click Save.

Repeat for all exam types your school conducts.
💡 CBSE Pattern
If your school follows CBSE pattern, create: Periodic Test 1, Periodic Test 2, Half Yearly, Periodic Test 3, Periodic Test 4, Annual Exam. You can also add internal assessment types for practical/project marks.
